Meaning of "Pakistan"
The name PAKISTAN was derived from Muslim-majority regions:
P → Punjab
A → Afghania (North-West Frontier Province, now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa)
K → Kashmir
S → Sindh
TAN → from Baluchistan/Balochistan together with the Persian suffix "-stan" (meaning "land").
Note: Historians explain that "TAN" is not only the suffix "-stan". It also incorporates the ending of Baluchistan. So it is slightly more precise to write:"TAN → from Baluchistan together with the Persian suffix '-stan'."
1930 → Allama Muhammad Iqbal → Allahabad Address
1933 → Choudhry Rahmat Ali → Coined the name Pakistan
1940 → Minar-e-Pakistan → Lahore Resolution
1942–1947 → Khizr Hayat Tiwana → Premier of Punjab
